Non-Ad Valorem Capital Assessment Pay-off

Non-ad valorem assessments are categorized as:

Maintenance (recurring every year) or

Capital (imposed over a pre-set number of years).

Capital Assessments may or may not be subject to additional interest charges. Property owners

are able to pay-off Capital Assessments at any time to avoid additional interest charges, when

applicable.  Capital assessments are assumable by a new owner at time of sale.  Whether to

pay-off or assume a Capital assessment is entirely up to the discretion of the property owner

and/or negotiation between the seller and the buyer at time of sale of a parcel/property.
