On-Line Permit ApplicationPermit Application Form
Applications for Building Permits with a valuation of $2,500 or more ( $7,500 or more for Air Conditioning) require that the Filed Notice of Commencement be posted at the job site. Payment can be made with a MasterCard or Visa through our secure server and you can print an official Permit for display on the construction site. A copy of the permit application must be signed by the Contractor or Owner/Builder and on the job site to receive the first inspection. All Owner/Builders must have a notarized Owner/Builder affidavit displayed on the construction site along with the signed permit application to receive the first inspection. When you complete your on-line permit you will be given the opportunity to print both your permit and Owner/Builder affidavit to be posted at the job site. All contractors must have a valid Charlotte County Certificate of Competency. A permit becomes VOID if construction is not started within six months, and receive an approved inspection. An approved inspection extends this permit for an additional six months. For more information on Building Permits see FAQs.
